The REDUX ELECTRIC METRIC is a single channel parametric equalizer, comprised of 3 fully parametric bands of equalization.
The Metric has a wide range filter section with a bandwidth of 70Hz to 7000Hz (7KHz). Its overall performance rivals or exceeds that of many dedicated studio outboard parametric EQs, all in a compact footprint that will easily find room on even the most crowded pedal board or in the studio. It is a high headroom, split rail power supply design running off a standard 9vdc Boss style DC adapter.
It is comprised of three filter sections that are identical in both sonic characteristics and frequency response. The controls of each individual filter section include Frequency Response, Bandwidth(Q), and Gain(Boost or Cut). Each of the three filter sections are independently controlled without affecting the settings of the other filter sections.
The Metric provides up to 20db of boost and cut per section which in addition to providing a wide range or EQ possibilities can also function as a boost pedal. When all three filters sections are used in unison, set to the same frequency the pedal provides up to 32db of gain.
In addition to the three parametric filters, the Metric features a "subtract" switch, which eliminates all input signal but that which is being filtered; putting the pedal into a "bandpass" mode. The “bandpass” mode provides a filter effect similar to a fixed wah pedal, providing an array of unique tones.
